The 15 Products We're OBSESSED with Right Now
- Posted by Sarah on September 10, 2009 at 04:13PM
One of the hardships (ha!) of our jobs as beauty editors is trying all the different products that come into the office. We see a ton of samples every year, so for something to stick in our minds it has to be really good.
Below is a list of such products, the ones that we can't stop talking about. Some are old standbys and others new to the scene, but one thing's for sure; they all have a permanent place on our bathroom counters (and that's saying a lot!). Plus, we figured we're always sharing what our readers think of products; it's about time we stepped up
Fave Skin Care:
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser: A cleanser that removes all traces of makeup and when used with the included muslin cloth, it also gently exfoliates.
Yes to Cucumbers Eye Gel: One of the few products that actually gets rid of puffy eyes, and it's cheap.
Olay Complete Defense Daily UV Moisturizer SPF 30: One of my long time faves, gives my combo skin just enough moisture and protects it from incidental sun exposure. Makeup applies beautifully over it as well.
Dermalogica Sebum Clearing Masque: Great for controlling oil and also good as a spot treatment if left on overnight, its also not over-drying.
Fave Hair Care:
Pureology Nano Works Shampoo and Conditioner: Protects color beautifully -- it has UVA and UVB sunscreens and leaves hair soft, but not weighed down.
Head & Shoulders Classic Clean Shampoo and Conditioner: Whether you have dandruff or not it keeps your hair and scalp moisturized without weighing hair down.
Kerastase Masque Chroma Riche: Deeply hydrates my highlighted, dry hair without leaving a residue behind -- it makes my hair feel silky instead of straw-like.
Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious Defining Crème: Smells amazing and brings out curls without any crunchy feeling.
Fave Makeup:
Clinique Almost Bronzer SPF 15: The light/medium shade adds the perfect shade of bronze to my fair skin and the very subtle shimmer makes skin glow without highlighting flaws.
CoverGirl Lashblast Volume Blasting Mascara: The first drugstore mascara Ive been impressed with, really volumizes and doesnt irritate my eyes.
Estee Lauder High Gloss: Gorgeous sheer gloss that isnt sticky yet is super glossy. Ive turned many friends on to this and they love it. Favorite shade: Blush
Lancome LExtreme Mascara: Adds major length to lashes, never clumps and stays put.
Hourglass Extreme Sheen Lip Gloss: Love the soft and glossy texture and its moisturizing without being sticky.
Fave Body Care:
Philosophy Pure Grace Perfume: My favorite scent, very simple, fresh and clean.
The Art of Shaving Shaving Cream Pump: Has a to-die-for scent and creates a beautiful lather -- it makes shaving less of a chore because its so luxurious and feminine.

So you know what we love, now check out the products we hate here.
And there are just some products we'll have to agree to disagree on -- like these.

I hope you\'ll take a closer look at Mary Kay Cosmetics. They have several outstanding methods of skin care. I\'m 49 and have been told I look much younger. I\'ve used Mary Kay since I was 21. Love your site I just think you\'re really missing out on some great products. For the record...I do not sell Mary Kay.
