Would You Buy $1,000 Face Cream?

High-end skin care company La Prairie is betting that at least some of you out there will. They've recently launched their Cellular Cream Platinum Rare, 1.7 oz. of which retails for $1,000, and is available at laprairie.com, Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue and Holt Renfrew in Canada.
Charli and I were able to try a bit of the cream (on our hands) recently and it is quite moisturizing without being too heavy. The star ingredient -- platinum -- is supposed to act as a sort of conductor, making the other anti-aging ingredients in the cream work even better. I'm still a little skeptical at the price -- I could buy a lot with that kind of money -- but maybe it's worth it.
What do you think? Will you buy it (or would you like to)?

I think it is total waste of money.

Frankly, NO! Even if the team from \'What Not To Wear\' gave me their credit card!! I am a cream junkie, but just think of all the other stuff you could purchase with $1,000. I could even put it in my 8 year old daughters college fund...

i would rather buy a platinium jewellery than spend it on cream.......no cream is worth spending that much n esp in times like today........n besides it wont be just one time buy either;as being a cream it has to be used on regular basis n so bought regularly a 1000$ cream! i would rather advise to go for one time surgery than spending money on cream every two months or so
