Bangs are a clever way to conceal a large forehead, make an edgy-hair statement, or simply update your look (see photos of the celeb bangs). The only downside is if you don't like them, they're a pain -- in-the-you-know-what -- to grow out.

I am pretty sure I'm not the only one that developed a mad, almost fanatical crush on Patrick Swayze as he crawled lustfully across the floor toward Baby to the tune of "Hungry Eyes." In the song "Empire State of Mind", that's Jay-Z's solution for New Yorkers' sleepless nights, but maybe it's their lack of zzz's that kept them off this cities with the most youthful skin list. Young Hollywood reigned supreme last night as everyone who's anyone in the under 30 crowd, descended upon the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards.

And, while the "Twilight" franchise predictably snagged most of the golden popcorn, the big shock was how pretty and glowing most of the starlets looked. (Learn how to get good and golden like these best bronzed celebrities.) Ok, Sandra Bullock kissing Scarlett Johansson was a little shocking, too.

Ever since "Ray" put Kerry Washington on the map, I've been coveting her glowing skin (watch this video to make dark skin glow). It can't hurt that she has access to the best of the best beauty gurus, and I bet they told her to follow these top skin, makeup and hair tricks for African American women. What do you think?

Sorry to break it to you, but not all beauty and fashion trends look good on everyone (see which celeb beauty trends to try and avoid). Case in point: I can't bring myself to wear those of-the-moment genie pants -- they just scream "MC Hammer" to me -- but I do wear coral lipstick and I would totally recreate Leona Lewis' fishtail braid, which is one of the "bests" on our list of best and worst celeb braids.
