I'm a 50-something professional living and working in the NYC metro area. My complexion issues are mild rosacea and being highly sensitive and prone to allergic reactions to products. I'm a late bloomer regarding makeup; it's just been the past couple years that I've started to really pay attention to it and have fun with it. I strive for a polished, professional, natural look. Currently I'm working on achieving the "flawless, contoured" look -- which is challenging with rosacea. Because I have a limited budget, I focus mainly on drugstore brands (although I have been known to occasionally venture into Sephora and MAC). I really appreciate being able to read reviews from the women actually using the products, so I can avoid mistakes. I also enjoy picking up application tips from the beauty editors and the pros they interview.
