Blake Lively
Best for: medium to long hair
To put a glamorous twist in a low-key style like Lively's, create a side part and braid two 1-inch sections (about an inch apart) from one side of your part toward your ear. Secure the braids to the hanging hair with bobby pins or small clips. Set with hairspray.

Bar Rafaeli
Best for: long hair
This quick and easy 'do adds subtle texture to otherwise perfectly sleek hair (no doubt straightened with a good flatiron like CHI Turbo Ceramic 1" Flat Iron, $180). Simply braid a 1-inch section of hair from your center part down and around your face and secure with a small elastic (try Goody Ouchless Thin Elastics, $2.99). Nicole Richie
Best for: short to medium-length hair
To get jumbo braids like Richie's, reverse braid two large sections (top and bottom) around the sides of your head back toward the nape of your neck. (To reverse braid, move pieces under instead of over one another.) Secure braids, then twist hanging hair into a bun and secure with bobby pins. See other ways Richie puts a braided spin on the classic bun.
