If Your Favorite Wine Is Viognier
Why: "Apricots, jasmine and vanilla make me think of Viognier, a very sexy grape," says Copeland. It's got a heart of rose petal and jasmine sambac, fruity top notes and cashmere woods at the base.

Why: Bordeaux from the Margaux region are characterized by notes of violets, potpourri and cedar wood. They're a little reminiscent of Clean Warm Cashmere, which smells of musk, cedar leaf and orris root. (Orris root and violet are similar notes, Copeland says.)

Why: Sparkling wine is one of the most versatile for pairing with food, and Spanish sparkling wine often smacks of green notes and sea breeze, Copeland explains. Why: South African chenin blancs are dry wines that teem with notes of beeswax and honey, Copeland explains. Bees also "go wild" for the aromas of honeysuckle and tuberose, she says -- and those flowers feature in this super-feminine new fragrance from Gucci. It's a classic white floral with notes of jasmine, orris root and Rangoon creeper.
