Why: "Apricots, jasmine and vanilla make me think of Viognier, a very sexy grape," says Copeland. If Your Favorite Wine Is Bordeaux
Why: Bordeaux from the Margaux region are characterized by notes of violets, potpourri and cedar wood. They're a little reminiscent of Clean Warm Cashmere, which smells of musk, cedar leaf and orris root. (Orris root and violet are similar notes, Copeland says.)

If Your Favorite Wine Is Cava
Why: Sparkling wine is one of the most versatile for pairing with food, and Spanish sparkling wine often smacks of green notes and sea breeze, Copeland explains. Molton Brown's refreshing aquatic fragrance is versatile in its own way: a well-balanced, unisex fragrance with top notes of fig leaves and bergamot, woods and musk at the base and a heart of jasmine and violet leaves.

Why: South African chenin blancs are dry wines that teem with notes of beeswax and honey, Copeland explains. Bees also "go wild" for the aromas of honeysuckle and tuberose, she says -- and those flowers feature in this super-feminine new fragrance from Gucci. It's a classic white floral with notes of jasmine, orris root and Rangoon creeper.

If Your Favorite Wine Is Sherry
Why: Sherry, a fortified wine, has a stronger alcohol content than most wine varietals and has "caramel, nut and resin notes," Copeland says. True sherry fans are drawn to rich, intense flavors and fragrances. Malin+Goetz's unisex fragrance has notes of rum, leather, amber and patchouli; it's a warm, lush and (natch) boozy gourmand.
