Let Your Friendships Empower You

Sophie Turner has famously grown up on "Game of Thrones" as Sansa Stark, and made best friends along the way. In an interview with Byrdie, she noted that it helps her mental health to check in with pals like Maisie Williams. And when asked about the importance of female friendships, she said, "Having a friend who supports you and knows what you're going through is really important to me. It's important to keep those relationships."

Learn From Your Elders

Margaery had a timeless beauty, and for actress Natalie Dormer, the old beauty tips remain the best. As she joked to Vogue, women are doing the same things now as they were in the 1400s: "We accentuate our eyes, we accentuate our lips, we accentuate our cheekbones." Some things never change.

Work/Life Balance Is Important

Mothers all over the world know how difficult it is to balance motherhood and career. Carice van Houten, who plays Melisandre, had a baby between seasons. She remembered it being a bit of a challenge, getting back to work just six weeks after a C-section — especially because her first scene involved walking to the top of a cliff in Northern Ireland. So yes, coming back from maternity leave was hard, just like it is for working moms all over the world. (It's nice to know it's not just us).
