It's not technically a "scar," but this woman who's battling Lupus lost a large amount of hair. She decided to shave her head into a Mohawk, tattoo both sides of her head, and rock the look with pride.
In a Buzzfeed comment section, user rachelb440d04484 shared a tattoo of a bluebird she gave to herself as a gift on her 18th birthday. "I didn't want to cover up the surgical scars because they were, and are, such an important part of who I am now," she writes.
