Mistake No. 7: Not knowing when to use the toner
Okay, so what about toner?

Well, it depends on the type of mask you're using. For sheet and sleeping masks, you've got apply it beforehand, since it'll help prep your skin. For peel-off masks, you should use the toner after, as it helps remove the residue of the product.

Mistake No. 8: Rinsing your face after
Rinsing your face after a sheet mask is money and effort down the drain: You're basically washing off all the good stuff! You need to let your skin absorb all the nutrients to get all the nourishment you need. Give the essence time to settle into your skin. This usually takes around ten minutes — then it's time for moisturizer.

Mistake No. 9: Throwing away the extra essence
Pro tip: Don't throw away the sheet mask packaging right away — because it's full of extra essence. Instead of throwing it away, why not apply it to the rest of your body? Your hands and neck surely need some skin care loving too! You can also transfer all the liquid to a sealed container and use it with cotton pads in the future.

Mistake No. 10: Skipping the rest of your skincare
Yes, sheet masks are magical, but it's not enough to replace your whole skin care routine. So don't skip out on your eye cream, moisturizer (as mentioned earlier), and other steps that are proven to do wonders on your skin. Doing the rest of your routine also helps the nutrients from the sheet mask work better.
