You may have seen Charli's post below about makeup artist Carmindy (from TLC's "What Not to Wear") traveling around showing people the new Natural Beauty line of cosmetics she created with Sally Hansen. Last week, Charli and I went to one of the Los Angeles stops to check out the products, which Carmindy demonstrated on my face (meaning I got a much-needed touch-up for my Friday night out).

I like her whole philosophy of enhancing natural beauty instead of covering it up. As you can see from the shots Charli took, even though she applied plenty of makeup, I didn't look overly made up. (And I assure you this look is definitely an improvement on what I looked like beforehand.) It also didn't feel like I had much makeup on at all -- a plus since I hate that mask feel of a full face of foundation. Unfortunately our final shot didn't turn out but you can get a pretty good idea from these shots below.

To create my "natural" look, Carmindy used the Luminizing Face Primer and Your Skin Makeup from her line (which she said are suitable for all skin types). Instead of using additional concealer, she just built up the foundation on trouble spots. She did, however, use Fast Fix Concealer in All-Over Brightener around my eyes. The pink tone of it worked well to brighten the area without looking fake or obvious. Then she used one of her Instant Definition Eye Shadow Palettes, the Natural Powder Blush (the line also has a cream blush), Color Comfort Lip Color (a lipstick) and Natural Shine Lip Gloss.
