Even though it's certainly not a requirement for beauty editors to be good looking, interestingly enough, one of our editors is the former Miss New Mexico. But don't worry, not all of us are beauty queens -- we need each and every beauty trick we write about. (See the four-minute makeup looks our editors put to the test here -- maybe you can guess which one is the former beauty queen.) Aside from the traditional beauty pageants such as Miss America and Miss USA, we found really random ones too.

Check this out, each fall the Good Shepherd Prison in Columbia (Is your town one of the prettiest cities?) holds a beauty pageant for it’s female inmates. Yep, you heard us right. This past year's pageant included everyone from a drug smuggler to a robber. The winner? Miss Yuri Uribes who is serving five years for drug trafficking. She was arrested while attempting to board a plane with half a kilo of heroin … in her stomach. Perhaps it was her slit skirt and jeweled top that gave her a leg up on the other contestants.

Oh, and get a load of this, apparently an Italian priest attempted to host an online contest to find the most beautiful nun (Have you voted on which celeb is the most gorgeous yet? No? Do so here.) to debunk the stigma that all nuns are old and homely-looking. But alas, Father Rungi decided to cancel it after religious authorities frowned upon the idea.
