Jennifer Hudson

Want to accentuate your neck? Then Hudson's chin-length shag haircut is perfect for you. To style it, Shorter says to apply a thickening mousse (try John Frieda Luxurious Volume Thickening Hair Mousse, $5.99) to your hair before blow drying, then flip out your ends with a round brush (or flat iron if that's easier for you).

Aisha Tyler

This sleek, low ponytail proves that this style is great for more than the gym. To get the look, use styling wax (like Redken Rewind 06 Pliable Styling Paste, $16) through your pony for a piece-y look.

Rihanna

Want this rocker 'do? Shorter says to ask your hairdresser for a cut that's cropped short in the back with long side-swept bangs. One important note: Always wait at least two months between relaxing hair and dyeing it so you don't over-damage your hair.

Alicia Keys

We can't get enough of her perfectly defined curls. If you're a curly girl too, Shorter says you should avoid blunt bob haircuts or bangs.
