I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a huge fan of Twilight (like, seriously), and I couldn't get enough of the cast at the MTV Video Music Awards last night! They took to the stage to give us a sneak peek at the newest trailer of New Moon (which you've GOT to see, it's the best one yet).

But before wowing the audience, Kristen Stewart and Ashley Greene blew me away with their red carpet appearances. Luckily for us, the stylists from Pantene dished out the exact steps they took when glamming up the girls prior to the VMA's.

Kristen looked incredibly edgy with her new short black hair (a huge contrast from Bella's long, girly locks), which Pantene stylist Hallie Bowman created in four easy steps:

1. Hallie shampooed and conditioned Kristen's hair with a moisturizing formula to create a good base for styling. She also cut bangs to create roundness around the cheekbones, which is complimentary to Kristen's heart-shaped face (a much better match than this look).

2. Next, she applied Pantene Pro-V Volume Root Lifter Gel from root to tip to build volume, as well as Pantene Pro-V Texture Spray Wax to make the hair more malleable for styling.

3. After blow drying Kristen's hair while brushing it away from the scalp to ensure volume, she pinned back sections of her hair to secure it away from the face. She left pieces around the face to give the illusion of a bob with bangs, which fit Kristen's style perfectly.

4. Finally, Hallie polished off the look with Pantene Pro-V Smooth Serum to give Kristen's hair long lasting shine for the entire night.

Ashley looked like anything but a vampire with her rosy lips and smoky eyes. But my favorite thing about her look was her elegant half-updo, which Pantene stylist Danilo also created in just four steps:

1. Danilo applied Pantene Pro-V Volume Root Lifter Gel on the crown of Ashley's wet hair to prime it for a voluminous shape on top.

2. Then he combed through Pantene Pro-V Restoratives Frizz Control Ultra Smoothing Balm from the middle of her hair to the ends to keep it frizz-free.

3. After blow drying her hair straight, Danilo pulled back the top half of her hair, making sure she had volume on top, while leaving a dramatic side part for contrast. He then used a curling iron to create loose flowing curls underneath.

4. He finished by spraying Ashley's hair with Pantene Pro-V Texture Hairspray for moveable texture while keeping the look in place.
