  • What's the Wackiest Product in Your Makeup Bag?

  • I am always interested to sneak a peek into my friends' makeup bags and bathroom cabinets. Yes, some would say that's nosy, but it's not because I want to judge their taste in eyeshadow color or steal their prescription for Vicodin, I swear.

  • It's because the products women keep in their makeup bag (especially if they tote it around with them) are the products they truly trust. The ones they tried and loved instantly -- otherwise they would have been tossed. And I've found that when I do get the chance to dive into someone's bag, I usually find something I've never thought of trying or a product I've never heard of. I always ask about these items and my friends always LOVE to gush about them.

  • When I was recently asked to share the items in my makeup bag with our Total Beauty Community, I jumped for joy (see the video of my Makeup Bag Ambush here). I couldn't wait to share my favorite go-to products. Similarly when I saw Assistant Editor Sharon's Makeup Bag Ambush, I couldn't wait to try all the cool products she talked about.

  • And if there is one thing I've learned from working at Total Beauty, it's that women go out of their way to share feedback on products they think are great. So tell me, what's the wackiest beauty product you have in your makeup bag? The one that you just adore? I'm all ears.

    • Definitely my ziploc baggie of Aztec Secret Green Clay Mask. That way if I take an unexpected trip, I can still do my weekly mask. People think it's all sorts of things though. Ha ha!

    • My makeup bag (a Trish McEvoy large quilted planner) is so stuffed with makeup, brushes and tools that there's no room for anything weird! I do keep perfume samples in my bag so I can get a little lift on the go, but that probably doesn't qualify as weird.

    • i always have a bunch of lip balm in my makeup bag. i absolutely love the nivea lip balm stick. its the best!

    • I have everthing to put on a complete face from scratch,also a tire gauge and multi function tool(cork screw,knife,screw driver,,,)

    • This will sound weird, but Preparation H hemorrhoid cream. I use it under my eyes sometimes when I have really bad puffiness! The anti-inflammatory ingredients help reduce the puffiness and calm that area down. Plus, if it's gentle enough for your butt, it's gentle enough for your eyes!

    • I'm obsessed with lip plumpers! I guess I just love the tingly sensation ;) and other then that just the basics- primer, foundation, concealor, powder, bronzer, blush, mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, and brow powder that doubles as eyeshadow

    • Omg I looooooovvee NYX's Candy Glitter Liners!! I put black eyeliner on my lashline and then put the blue and purple liners over it. Doing this brings out the color more : D
