First of all, yes, I do realize the irony of a beauty Web site pointing out the cities with the most vain people. Sure, we do promote looking good and trying different hairstyles, makeup looks and skin care regimens, but we also know that there are healthy limits. (As fun as it is, a person can't spend all their time on their looks.)

So with that out of the way, check out this list of the vainest cities in America. How do we know they're vain? We looked at factors that signal vanity, like number of plastic surgeons, tanning salons and businesses that cater to hair, skin and nails. Peruse the list below; do you live in a vain city? If so, then you'll probably love this.
