Is it just me, or did December completely sneak up on us? Why must the colder weather, extra planning and long shopping lists add some serious stress? There's just so much to do, and so little time!

Most of us head to the salon or spa to relax, unwind, and of course, get beautiful. But what if your visit did the exact opposite of all those things? For the women below, their routine haircuts and massages turned into the stuff of nightmares -- singed hair, bloody appendages and worse!

I don't know about you, but lately my skin has been parched and somewhat lizard-like in appearance. Since I'm not trying to catch the eye of a studly salamander, I figured I should do something about it.

While we were indulging in turkey leftovers, Tokyo was hosting their Nail Expo. The annual event has more than 50,000 visitors and I can see why. These nails are amazing! Granted, I wouldn't necessarily wear most of them in my every day life (way too much typing and nail biting for that to be feasible) but you have to admit that they're quite cool to look at.

Fragrance is a tricky thing. Case in point: I love this perfume to me it smells like wearing a lei on a Hawaiian vacation. However, my boyfriend took one sniff and decreed it smelled like "potpourri in a basement" (ouch!).
