  • I've always been a bit squeamish when it comes to coloring my hair. It seems so much more drastic than a cut, although realistically it's probably easier to fix a bad dye job (like one of these) than a bad hair cut (as these photos would show).

  • We know you are fighting every urge to stifle the rumbling of your inner Homer Simpson on National Donut Day, especially with free donuts being given out left and right, but we are here to tell you to go ahead and eat that donut ... but only today. Any other time you are feeling the need to shove a donut in your face, remember that sugar is a number one stunner for that skin of yours. The refined carbohydrate not only causes breakouts, but also causes inflammation of the skin which in turn creates high levels of free radicals, which attack collagen, giving you less firm skin and wrinkles. So what’s a sugar lover to do? Find alternatives of course!

  • We heard that Kate Hudson dyed her gorgeous blonde hair brown for a new film role, but you can’t believe everything you read, right? So who knows -- maybe Hudson ditched her signature golden locks to look a little more like her new dark-haired man, New York Yankees superstar Alex Rodriguez.

  • If you tuned in to the premiere of NBC’s “I’m a Celebrity … Get Me out of Here!” you know that Heidi (Montag) Pratt is the last girl we would describe as “low-maintenance.” She spent most of the two-hour episode in hysterics -- swatting at bugs, wiping her melting makeup, and obsessively spraying dry shampoo. (I wonder if she used one of these top-rated dry shampoos: T3 360, $25 and Klorane, $18.)

  • But you don’t have to be a diva to survive the jungle, or just look good at the beach. In fact, with the right products and tips, you can be super low-maintenance, and avoid many of the issues that convinced Heidi to hike on out of there and off the show! (For now …)

  • There is plenty of buzz around Kristen Stewart and her fellow “Twilight” cast members, including heartthrob costar Robert Pattinson. “Twilight” swept the MTV Movie Awards Sunday, winning 5 of 11 categories including Best Movie, and the cast promoted the sequel “New Moon” with a highly-anticipated trailer.

  • But Stewart’s style stole the limelight this time, and many women now want to know how to duplicate the striking dark eyeliner look she rocked at the awards show and in a stunning photo shoot a few days after in Santa Monica.

  • My guy friend said his skin was blinding pasty, and he needed to do something about it before hitting the beach. Putting my beauty-editor hat on, I suggested he try one of these self tanners (since no self-respecting beauty editor would recommend tanning in the sun or a booth -- the damage!).

  • I love having oily skin. I love using blotting papers five times a day to sop up the grease. I love that my forehead looks like a lighthouse beacon in any picture taken with a flash (like this one). And most of all, I love how all that oil makes it so easy for new pimples to pop up on my face. Isn't it the best?!

  • While it's not technically a mullet, Megan Fox's hair is coming pretty close to it in this picture. It's totally "business in the front, party in the back," right? (If you need a reminder of what a true mullet looks like, check out this pic of Scarlett Johansson -- yes, that Scarlett Johansson.)
