Like most women, I wear my hair exactly the same way. Every. Single. Day. It can be boring, unoriginal and frankly, uninspiring. I go from wearing my hair down with loose waves to securing it back in a low ponytail come midday. It's the routine. And I rarely change it.
That's why I'm challenging myself, for the next three days, to pick a celebrity hairstyle each morning and try to copy it. Well, to the best of my ability anyway.
Today I tried to recreate a French-braided headband a la Gwen Stefani, but failed miserably because -- sigh -- I can't French braid. (But I vow to learn how and will show you soon enough.) So right before I walked out the door to head to the office, I saw this picture of
Emily Blunt with her hair pulled back and topped with a jeweled headband, and thought, "I can
definitely do that."
It was really simple -- I slicked my hair back into a low ponytail, twisted it into a bun and pinned it into place. Then, I chose a red headband (Blunt's is way snazzier, but my workplace is a tad less formal than a red carpet event) and slipped it on. Voila!
What do you think? Any suggestions on the celebrity hairstyle I should recreate tomorrow or later in the week? I'm all ears.
