Phoebe M. from Milwaukee, Wisc. emailed to ask us, "What makeup tricks will make me look younger?" and, we're happy to say that we just happen to know a couple, thanks to celebrity makeup artist Taylor Chang-Babaian.
Here are four of her look-younger application tips:
Camouflage crow's feet: Chang-Babaian says that "Crow's feet are usually darker and angle downward. Applying a concealer in an upward motion creates the illusion of younger eyes." Be sure to blend well, otherwise you run the risk of the concealer settling into the lines and making them more prominent.
Lighten up your lips: As you age, you want to stay away from deep reds and plums, opting instead for "mauves and roses with a hint of pink to add instant youth." Also, adding, "a little gloss in the center of the mouth always makes for instant sexy youth," Chang-Babaian says.
Open your eyes: Curling your lashes "lifts sagging lids," says Chang-Babaian, who recommends splurging on a good eyelash curler with a strong spring so you get the best curl possible.
Even things out: If you think that foundation creates a mask that ages you, think again. "Medium-coverage foundations that are silicone-based add dewiness to your skin and help with ruddiness," says Chang-Babaian. (Try
