Country music stars (and Nicole Kidman) descended upon Nashville last night for the 45th annual Country Music Awards and, while many certainly dazzled, Taylor Swift was the evening's all-around big winner.
Not only did the 21-year-old fan favorite score her
second Entertainer of the Year trophy, she wowed all the style critics with her dramatically draped, dove-hued J. Mendel dress and beautiful makeup courtesy of her go-to COVERGIRL artist, Lorrie Turk.
Here's how Turk says she put together the beautiful look that had to work with both the red carpet
and performance fashions.
"I started by using
COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Silk Foundation, $9.74, for a fresh finish on Taylor's skin. On her eyes I used
COVERGIRL Intense ShadowBlast in Platinum Pop, $7.49, followed by a very thin line of
COVERGIRL LineExact Eyeliner in Very Black, $7.99, and finished her eyes with coats of
COVERGIRL LashPerfection Mascara, $7.49, on her lashes.
For Taylor's lips on the red carpet, I used
COVERGIRL ShineBlast in Sparkler, $6.49 -- and for the performance we switched it to
COVERGIRL NatureLuxe Gloss Balm in Peony, $6.49.
For a little color and shimmer on her cheeks, I finished by brushing on
COVERGIRL TruBlend Minerals Blush in Pure Romance, $3."
There you go. Now you know how to transform into a beautiful, talented young thing in six easy steps! If only it were that easy, right?
How do you think Taylor's CMA look compared with her makeup at last May's
Billboard Awards?
