Jessica Simpson "Shocks" Her Body with a Cleansing Diet

Jessica Simpson has tweeted about cleansing her body with a vegan diet, a special Chinese tea and "cupping."
A zaftig Simpson looked uncomfortable posing for cameras at May's 9th Annual Operation Smile gala in NYC
"Shocked my system with a vegan diet, special Pu-erh tea from China, and cupping since friday! Who am I right now? This might be too clean!" the tabloid mainstay wrote adding that all of this is part of the work she's been doing with a healer named Master Wang who "is the Healer working with me this weekend. He has a program called Total Vitality."
Lest anyone think that she'd begun this regimen in response to the never-ending criticism of her weight, Simpson, whose eponymous denim line launched last week, shot that theory down. "Just so everyone is clear...this has NOTHING to do with weight. It is about understanding my body through hydration and alkalinity." Got that?
Simpson is, of course, famous for all of her weight-loss endeavors so it's not unfathomable that we might think this latest kick might have been driven by the desire to shed some of the extra pounds that have dogged her since she got her body into rocking shape to play Daisy Duke in 2005's "The Dukes of Hazard." Since then she's been rumored to have tried the Atkins and 5 factor diets and has supposedly repeatedly sought council of diet coach/trainer Mike Alexander to help get her back in to fighting form.
In addition to keeping her alkaline levels in check, the actress/singer/designer has been keeping buys shooting Macy's commercials and lobbying to land her show, "The Price of Beauty," a 2010 Teen Choice Award. (They air Monday, August 9)
