Is Gabourey Sidibe Going to Launch a Makeup Line with Bobbi Brown?

Gabourey Sidibe, whose star turn on Showtime's new dramedy, "The Big C," begins tonight with the series premiere, is rumored to have embarked on a makeup line with cosmetics queen Bobbi Brown.

Sidibe, who met Brown when the makeup artist worked her magic on her for the Golden Globes earlier this year, was holed up in Brown's NYC offices recently, according to WWD which reports that the pair have been mulling over the feasibility of launching a "color cosmetics collection."

Evidently, calls to the company yielded no reply. Which could mean that the rumors are false or that they're just not ready to discuss the dealings.

For her part, Brown has long eschewed the stunners of the world, preferring instead to work with "real people." In fact, her new coffee table book, "Beauty Rules," -- a makeup guide for teenage and twenty something girls -- "chronicles dozens of mini-makeovers of real (and decidedly real-looking) girls -- not models," reported the Los Angeles Times in a story about the book that ran last week. "There's not one model in the book," Brown told the paper, "the girl on the cover was a waitress in our town.
