For those who feel that matching your eye makeup to your dress is a little staid, let Olivia Wilde's look at the Golden Globe Awards prove to you that matching can be modern.
Wilde favors sexy eye makeup that plays up her features
If youre not sure what makeup to pair with your dark frock, grab black eyeliner, gray and mauve eyeshadows, powder highlighter and mascara.
Start by taking a makeup brush and dusting the gray shadow across your lids. Blend the color up and past the outer corners of your eye at an angle to achieve Wilde's look.
Next, take the mauve shadow and apply it inside the crease, mixing it with the gray.
To brighten up your eyes, dab a light shadow or powder highlighter on the inner corners of your lids. For extra shine, use a q-tip or eyeshadow brush to dust a little of the product onto your lower eyelid.
Apply eyeliner heavily on the top lid, and a little sparingly on the bottom. Extend the line past the top outer corners of your eyes for the full cat eye effect.
Finish it off by curling your lashes with an eyelash curler and adding a few coats of volumizing mascara for maximum pop.
