Courteney Cox's Anti-Aging Skin Care Secret? She Loves Botox

Posted on July 15, 2010, 10:44 PM

The "Cougar," who's long been very open about how much she hates aging, comes clean on her use of injectables.

If this is what 46 looks like, bring on the Botox!

If this is what 46 looks like, bring on the Botox!

“I have issues with getting older” Courteney Cox said in a 2006 Marie Claire cover story. “It’s hard not being the young one anymore.”

And, the ex-Friend-cum-Cougar hasn't changed her tune in the four years that have lapsed.

Gracing the August cover of Glamour magazine, the 46 year-old actress says that these days, skin care is of paramount importance.

"Aging gracefully is one thing, but trying to slow it down is another. Sometimes I use Botox," David Arquette's wife of 11 years says in the cover story. "I don't have a problem with any of that stuff; if it makes you feel better about yourself and it's done properly, then fine."

Sounds like she has definite opinions on the topic as she told Harper's Bazaar magazine way back in 2004 that "A lot of people are overdoing Botox, but I think everything in moderation is fine. If it looks natural and it makes you feel better, do it." And, she echoed the sentiment in the current story, saying that she “believes in the judicious use of plastic surgery.”

Of course, the actress, has long been a proponent of Kinerase skin products – a line for which she became the official spokesperson in 2005.

“Kinerase is a simple and effective skin care regimen that keeps my skin looking healthy and youthful," she says. "Like every woman trying to juggle family and career, I no longer have the time or patience for time-consuming beauty routines. Kinerase is gentle but effectively maintains younger-looking skin. I am proud and excited to represent a product that I have personally enjoyed and recommended to my friends and family."

The key ingredient in Kinerase, from what I can gather, is Kinetin, a nature-identical plant growth factor that allows the skin to retain more moisture, making the skin feel firmer and healthier, improving the skin's overall appearance.

Whatever she's doing, it seems to be working, Cox, who also says that she hates all exercise except for pilates, looks fantastic.

What do you think about using Botox or dermal fillers? Would you do it? Do you do it?
