Kate Gosselin's Bad Botox - When Anti-Aging Skin Care Backfires

A bad botox injection (or 10) has left Kate Gosselin with a perpetually surprised look on her face. This is a case of anti-aging skin care gone wrong doctors tell US magazine.
Kate Gosselin at an Event in April - BEFORE the Bad Botox
"[She] has the typical appearance of Dysport or Botox poorly placed in the space between the brows where frown lines occur," Dr. Michael Olding told Us Magazine after looking at before and after photos. Ironically, it's because the troubled mom of eight didn't get more of the product injected that she looks so odd. Had she had some injected into her brow, it would've come down some, as Dr. Olding says, "the lateral part of her brow is elevated in an abnormally high position, which my patients refer to as McDonald's arches!"
The bummer for Gosselin and anyone who gets Botox or Dysport treatments is that unlike with a filler such as Restylane or Juvederm, there is no "antidote" that can be injected to dissolve the product. Botox and Dysport literally (temporarily) paralyze the muscles into which they're injected so an unhappy recipient has no recourse but to be patient and wait the 2-6 months for the effect to wear off. Producers at The Learning Channel, the cable netlet that will begin airing her new reality series "Twist of Kate" later this summer, may opt to have her get more Botox injected rather than just let it wear off. "[This] can be corrected by a few injections above her eyebrows to let them drop a bit," Dr. Tony Youn told US.
Gosselin's new show, airing on TLC which also has a Sarah Palin "travelogue" series in the works, will feature the Mom (sans Jon, of course) in her everyday life with her kids and also have her visit the homes and jobs of everyday folks who've written her fan mail saying they've been inspired by her trials and tribulations.
"I want to be out there learning from others, helping to provide insight whenever I can, though I don't consider myself an expert on anything," Gosselin said in a statement released by the network. TLC chief Eileen O'Neill adds that, "She will be in that person's shoes. And more often than not, it's not going to be terribly comfortable for her," She's game for things, but she also has limits and boundaries."
Any desire to watch Kate Gosselin on yet another show? Wish she'd just go away? And, what do you think of the botched botox?
