Also, I do not believe you should tip a shampoo girl more than a dollar or 2, a person who blow dries your hair the same. The person who actually cut and/or colors yes, tip if HAPPY. But then again I think a true hair stylist shampoos, cuts, colors and styles their own client. I need all info on your hair, as in how it feels being washed and styled. I serve you better with full knowledge of your hair you simply cannot get with assistants all over. Plus I feel they are just plain lazy...come on you simply are too good to shampoo your client?? Puhleeze. No one is that good.

If it is a disaster DO NOT TIP! You are giving them the impression you like it when you do not. Stupid! Also if you tip your waitress more than your hairdresser you are so wrong..they did not MAKE the food and we actually touch you, cut, color, style you. I think you should always tip if you like what is done but do not insult me with a $2 tip when you tip that waitress 20% for "fetching" your food and keeping your cup filled. Now I am not bashing wait staff-I was one!!! Just a reality check people. BUT NEVER tip if unhappy. Mixed messages create big problems. How do they know you are unhappy if you tip????
