Two Beautiful Celebrity Makeup Looks I'm Loving Right Now
Posted 02/23/11 at 02:26PM by Audrey Fine
Newsflash: Halle Berry's gorgeous. OK, so I'm no Christiane Amanpour, but seriously, the woman is 44, embroiled in a bitter custody dispute and still managed to knock 'em dead at last night's 13th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards in Beverly Hills. That dress (Elie Saab), that bod, that makeup. Too darn beautiful.
Halle's makeup artist Kara Bua outdid herself with the lovely plum shade that perfectly played up Berry's brown eyes. (Try Estee Lauder Pure Color EyeShadow in Aubergine Matte, $14 or CoverGirl Eye Enhancers 1 Kit Shadows in Forever Fig, $3.) The touch of color "adds excitement to brown eyes," says makeup artist Tina Turnbow. (See the Best Celebrity Makeup Looks for Brown Eyes.)
Then there's Reese Witherspoon, herself no slouch in the DNA jackpot department. Those baby blues never fail to dazzle (types the brown-eyed writer without harboring any jealousy whatsoever) -- especially when she plays 'em up with a soft pinky bronze hue that really makes them pop as she did at a recent Livestrong event. (Try Yves Saint Laurent Beauty Ombres Duolumieres Eyeshadow Duo in Golden Pink/Precious Bronze, $41 or CoverGirl Eye Enhancers 1 Kit Shadows in Mauveberry, $3.) Looks so beautiful, yet easy, right? "A little makeup goes a long way with blue eyes," says celeb makeup artist Matin. And oh how right he is.
Have any favorite shades for your eye color? Hillary Scott (from Lady Antebellum) sure knows how to play her light eyes up with pretty pastel eye makeup.

I think both of these women are truly stunning and they both seem to be really nice human beings! I have blue eyes and I know bronze colors make my blue eyes pop!

I love Reese. She's always so classic, so fresh, so gorgeous! However, I'm brown haired and eyed, with medium skin, so I wear totally different makeup than she does. I like Halle's look also.
