Four Beauty Breakthroughs I Think Are Just Great
Posted 05/24/11 at 02:55PM by Rebekah George
I've been following beauty products my entire life, so when something new (and promising) comes along I get really excited. Recently, I've hit the jackpot by uncovering four such products for summer. Want to know what they are? OK, I'll share...
GlamGlow Mud Mask, $69
When I need to look gorgeous for a big event, this has become my go-to product. Somehow its volcanic pumice, antioxidants and minerals come together to revitalize my complexion and it really seems to erase my wrinkles (albeit temporarily) for a few hours. You've never been this radiant.
KeratinPerfect 30-Day Brazilian Hair Smoothing System Deluxe Edition , $235
Thanks to this handy-dandy product you can now give yourself a keratin treatment -- you know, the salon treatment that gets rid of frizz and adds shine to hair -- at home and for less money than getting it done by a pro. Plus, it's 100 percent formaldehyde-free so you won't have to stress about whether you're killing yourself (or the environment) in the name of beauty.
GLO Brilliant Personal Teeth Whitening Device, $275
Ok, it's expensive, but this handy device uses innovative (patent-pending) technology to yield professional-quality results from the comfort of home. The kit uses a light-emitting mouthpiece and specially formulated gels to whiten teeth an average of five shades with -- get this -- no sensitivity!
Goldfaden Hair Suppress Formula, $55
I always say that we love hair on our heads only and that everywhere else it's a total bummer. (Note: I'm of Greek and Lebanese descent so I totally get anyone who deals with unwanted hair.) This new lotion helps to minimize hair growth so you can reduce the frequency of shaving, waxing, plucking, etc. It's also an ideal balm if your skin gets hot and bothered post waxing or lasering -- and aids in "rapid recovery."
Do you just love new-fangled products too? Do you get put-off by the high price tags of some? Which high-end beauty products do you deem splurge-worthy?

The GlamGlow Mud Mask was terrible. I have never felt that much pain on my face before.

It sounds like these would be great but the prices are a little extreme.

I would love to try those out. Unfortunately I have biils to pay and I need to keep a roof over my head. Guess I won't be trying them anytime soon.

The high price tag totally turns me off.
