FOUR FAB BRITISH BEAUTY PRODUCTS I'M ADDING TO MY OLYMPICS VIEWING PARTY GOODY BAGS
Posted 07/27/12 at 12:11PM by Audrey Fine
Lemme guess, you're not going to London for the games either. Sigh. It's a harsh reality, but I've planned a viewing party and have stocked up on these brilliant British beauty products that are finally available on this side of the pond. So, if you were coming to my house tonight, here's what you'd get instead of a Gold medal.
Butter London Nail Lacquer in No More Waity Katie (Their polishes typically retail for $15 but this must-have, limited edition shade has skyrocketed to $30.)
The Organic Pharmacy Peppermint Facial Wash, $42
It takes a mighty fine product line to count holistic devotees like Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow among its fans. Such is The Organic Pharmacy, the first pharmacy "dedicated to all things organic." What was started by a husband/wife team in London in 1996 has flourished to include dozens of stores including their flagship U.S. shop in Beverly Hills.
My "can't live without it" product? The Peppermint, Tea Tree, Eucalyptus Face Wash (Peppermint for short). It's antibacterial (so it gets -- and keeps -- my skin super-clear), yet gentle enough to use every day. Plus, the smell is divine. Don't have plans to head to Cali any time soon? No biggie. Their online business is booming.
Jo Malone Tea Fragrances, $55
Nothing says (or smells) more like London than Jo Malone. The super-popular fragrance brand just launched a collection of tea fragrances and, regardless of your cup of tea (sorry, couldn't resist), there really is something for everyone. From the scents of a traditional Earl Gray to warm almond-y Sweet Milk and an invigorating Fresh Mint, they're all jolly good.
Top Shop Lip and Cheek Tint in Bitten Berry, $14
What began in a British basement 45 years ago is now a thriving international business. Top Shop exemplifies English style (Kate Moss is a diehard fan) and their makeup is a must-have for any product fiend. One of the most popular items in their collection is the Lip and Cheek Tint -- it imparts a just-bitten look to lips and gives cheeks an outdoorsy glow.
Now that you feel up to snuff on the best of Brit beauty, how about taking a peek at the products we're sure Kate Middleton's bathroom is stocked with?

I LOVED the London & all things English that were showcased this year for the Olympics! And, I would LOVE to attend a party like yours! I will definitely be looking for the face wash. Already looked for the Jo Malone Tea Fragrances, but alas, it seems to have been a limited edition and I'm not able to find it now. TopShop lip tints are amazing - a friend gifted me with 2 & I love them! Thanks for the great info and suggestions.
