How I Get Sexy, Beachy Hair in 6 Simple Steps
Posted 03/16/11 at 12:00PM by Audrey Fine
Every girl dreams of having that tousled Giselle Bundchen hair and now, thanks to Kattia Solano of Butterfly Studio Salon in New York City, I've mastered the art of getting it.
Here's the break down:
Step 1: Apply a volumizing gel or spray to wet hair (Try Shu Uemura The Art of Hair Tasai Cream, $33.
Step 2: To add volume at your roots, flip your head over and blow dry completely.
Step 3: To smooth hair before using your curling iron, twist large sections of your hair around a finger starting at the ends. Let the twisted pieces rest for a few minutes.
Step 4: Separate your hair into four sections and spritz a light hold hairspray (try Oribe Soft Lacquer, $42) on the mid-shaft of your hair (avoid roots and ends).
Step 5: Using a 1 - 1 1/4-inch curling iron, wrap medium sections of hair around the barrel, starting roughly three inches from the roots (at about eye level). Note: Be sure to stay away from curling your ends -- you want them to be straight.
Step 6: Once you're finished curling your whole head, spritz with hairspray and lightly scrunch with your hands.
Love easy-to-do styles? How about trying a fishtail braid, a cool ponytail or a modern twist on for size?

Oooh, this is really helpful. It seems like a somewhat messy beachy hairstyle should take less work though!
