How I'm Planning to Look Cute (and Stay Dry) at My Company's Outdoor Picnic
Posted 04/28/11 at 03:00PM by Audrey Fine
I love my job. And I love living in Southern California. But, what I don't love is when I have to do my job outside in the SoCal sun. Sounds arduous, right? Poor, poor me. But, here's the thing. I'm something of a sweater. No, not an argyle or Fair Aisle. I'm a perspirer. Only I don't glow. I really do sweat. And, next month we're doing a company retreat of sorts. Outside. In the broiling noonday sun. Short of getting Botox injections into my armpits (Ouch! In both the pain and bank account departments.) I was beginning to think I'd have to call in sick that day.
Then, (cue the heavenly angels' song) I read an article about Secret Clinical Strength Sensitive Deodorant, $8.99 and I knew I could join in the festivities without worrying about icky pitstains or other unfortunate sweaty side effects. Every word of that article was true. This deodorant is so awesome, (I even chose it as a VIP -- Very Impressive Product a few weeks ago because the word must be spread.
If like me, you do more than glow, do yourself a favor and check it out. You're welcome.
As for how I plan to look cute-but-melt-proof, here's the deal: Just because you're at a picnic doesn't mean that beauty decorum goes out the window -- especially with the bosses milling around. I'm going to keep my look casual, yet professional -- with some color on my cheeks, a natural eye look that's enhanced by a swipe of bronzer and a coat of mascara (am not going to waste too much time on my eyes since I'll definitely be wearing sunglasses) and a glossy lip and, that's it. Oh, yeah, and, of course loads of SPF.
Want great ideas on how to look great no matter what the occasion? (Kids' soccer tournament, baby shower, etc.? Check out this cool Color Finder. It's even set up so that you can choose your hair color and skin tone. Pretty cool indeed.

I'm not a very heavy sweater but I love the Secret Clinical Strength. I can go for a power walk in the summer or dance the night away at the club and not stink. Plus my favorite thing about this deodorant is that it doesn't leave white streaks. Love it!

I definitely need to pick up some Secret Clinical Strength for summer. Like you, I don't "glow" or "perspire".... I get sweaty.
