Recreate Hillary Scott's (of Lady Antebellum) Pretty Pastel Eye Makeup in 4 Easy Steps
Posted 02/16/11 at 03:17PM by Audrey Fine
Justin Bieber may have gotten dissed at Sunday's Grammy Awards (sniff?) but Lady Antebellum won big and went home with five statues, thank you very much.
Of course, nobody was happier than front woman Hillary Scott who told reporters that she'd pretty much been starving herself since learning that her band was up for six awards. "Whenever we're not in the studio, I'm doing crunches or something," she joked to the Associated Press.
In addition to a more svelte shape (which she showed off in Roberto Cavalli), Hillary was also showing off new lash-length bangs and loads of sea foam shimmer eyeshadow -- proving that color can be pretty.
Want to copy the look? I sure do. Here's how:
Step 1: Rim your eyes with a black liner -- this helps define them, which is key when wearing color, especially pastels.
Step 2: Sweep a shimmery sea foam-colored shadow on lids, just beyond your creases and along your bottom lashlines. (Try CoverGirl Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadows in Aqua Paradise, $2.99.)
Step 3: Finish by applying multiple coats of black mascara.
Step 4: Pair your dramatic eyes with neutral lip and cheek colors so they don't compete with your eyes.
A little scared of such a "look at me" shade of greenish blue? Find out which color works best for you by consulting this handy color finder -- it will let you know which eye, cheek, lip and hair shades work best with your skin.

I think this look is wonderful! It was definitely played up a bit for the awards show but she rocks it! I love to wear a teal eyeliner over my black eyeliner on top and line my lower inner rims with it and I receive compliments all the time! Take the look as an idea and make it your own!

I'm not sure I like it... Maybe with a color other than seafoam...

I have the same hairstyle, and it still looks crazy on me.
