The 'Mad Men' starlet has been told by the show's creator that she needs to eat and stop exercising!
January Jones' Body Deemed Too Skinny for the '60s Era Show
Jones, who graces the September cover of the British magazine, Tattler, says that creator, Matt Weiner, would "prefer we didn't work out and [wants us to] eat really well so we look like healthy women" noting that the insanely popular show takes place in the early '60s when women were more zaftig and curvy than they are today.
This isn't the first time her super slender figure has been critiqued by the show runnners. As she revealed in a 2009 interview in Britain's OK magazine, saying "I got told a few days ago that I look too skinny, and I was in trouble. I'm naturally thin, so I'm trying. I eat whatever is at craft services. I'm a big eater. I'm from South Dakota, so meat, potatoes, carbs," she said. Lucky duck, naturally skinny, no cellulite to contend with, must be nice.
Meanwhile, Jones' co-star, Christina Hendricks has been applauded (and lauded) for her voluptuous curves and va-va-va-voom body which Jones applauds saying that she's pleased to have real women's body types represented on the program. "It's ok to have curves and be a woman. I wish more women would realize that's what men like," she said. Clearly, she hasn't had a tough time getting men to be attracted to her, she's reportedly dated Ashton Kutcher, Jim Carrey, Sean William Scott, Josh Groban and Jeremy Piven, and is currently linked to "Saturday Night Live" funny guy Jason Sudeikis whom she met while hosting the show in January.
Do you think January Jones is too skinny? Would you like to see more "real women" on tv and in the movies? Speak up!
