"Dancing With the Stars" Cheryl Burke Launches Organic and Natural DeoDry Deodorant from The Body Shop

Professional ballroom dancer/ “Dancing With the Stars” pro, Cheryl Burke, knows a thing or two about sweating and overall body care. And, it's because of her well-rounded expertise that The Body Shop recently launched their new DeoDry Deodorant with her help. i

From the launch party in New York City’s Tompkins Square Park, where the two-time winner tested out the new deodorant in conjunction with her roller skating skills, Burke took time out to advise fans about a href="http://www.totalbeauty.com/how-tos/body">body care and the dangers of sun exposure. "Be smart about your exposure to the sun. Don't get caught up in using a tanning bed to keep that summer glow. Use self-tanner or indulge in a spray tan, as it is much safer than sitting in the sun or tanning bed," Burke told AOL’s StyleList.

The new deodorant from The Body Shop claims 24-hour odor protection, and uses volcanic minerals and essential oils instead of controversial parabens and aluminum. Community trade aloe vera from Guatemala adds hydration for sensitive skins, while community trade alcohol derived from sugar cane fields of Ecuador whisks away moisture. The cooling deodorant stick comes in a myriad of scents and forms that include a traditional stick, a roll-on and even an environmentally-friendly, refill-only option that will also save you some money. We love the fact that the ingredients are all community trade and come in tons of different variations- every person can find a fit for their body care and deodorant needs.

Burke has been a long time fan of The Body Shop, stating “I really like their Nutriganics Smoothing Night Cream. Burke has been doing a lot of brand promoting in her off time from “Dancing With the Stars” and has even launched her own workout wear line for Fit Couture called “Cheryl Burke By Fit Couture.” The line is boasted as being the “exact clothes” the star wears while working out on the hit competition TV show.
