Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore are Cleansing their Bodies

The married pair have embarked on a Master Cleanse to rid their bodies of impurities.
Ashton and Demi, no doubt Tweeting, on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of "The Joneses" in April
"This is about health!" proclaimed Moore (aka mrskutcher) on her Twitter page.
The extreme cleanse/diet was created by health advocate Stanley Burroughs 50 years ago and is designed to rid the body of the chemicals we take in on a daily basis through our foods, the air we breathe and other pollutants.
The Master Cleanse purports to help remove the build up of waste from your body -- here's the deal: the cleanse or "Lemonade Diet" is more like a fast that must be adhered to for 3-10 days in order to allow the toxins to be flushed from the body. So beginning the first day and every day after that you only drink the lemonade and don't eat anything -- at all.
The ingredients of the lemonade are: pure filtered water, grade B organic maple syrup, organic cayenne pepper, organic lemons, sea salt. That's it.
And, while the benefits of the cleanse have yet to be endorsed by physicians, celebs like Howard Stern, Naomi Campbell and Beyonce are strong proponents of it.
'2nd day of master cleanse and off to hike with hubby and the dogs. 2nd day better than the 1st!' tweeted Moore, who's filming the movie "Margin Call" with Kevin Spacey.
For his part, Kutcher, who's more than a tad Twitter obsessed, has been uncharacteristically reticent about the cleanse other that tweeting: "9 hrs into the master cleanse. I want a steak, a beer, and a blow-pop. Hmmm this is gonna be rough."
I bet. But this can't be the first odd thing he's done for his wife who, at 47, looks fantastic for her age and vehemently denies ever having had plastic surgery, as the New York Daily News reports she's said: "I don't like the idea of having an operation to hold up the ageing process - it's a way to combat your neurosis. The scalpel won't make you happy."
So, if she won't go near a scalpel, how does Moore explain her perpetual youth? For one thing she's into alternative treatments, as she told David Letterman on his late night talk show in 2008 when she'd recently returned from Australia for a full body cleanse that involved placing leeches near her bellybutton. You feel [them] bite down on you, and you want to go, You bastard! and then you relax and watch it swell up, she told an obviously repulsed Letterman. They have a little enzyme that when they are biting down in you, it gets released in your blood and generally you bleed for quite a bit and your health is optimized, she claimed. It detoxifies your blood Im feeling very detoxified right now."
Bruce Willis' ex also cites "laughter" as something that's helping her stay young. I think that laughter and smiling are one of the best antidotes to ageing that you could possibly have, she told People magazine in March. No wonder she's married to Kutcher that guy is sure to keep everyone around him in stitches.
Would you ever do a Master Cleanse? And, do you believe that Demi's never had surgery? Chime in!
