What's the perfect eyeshadow color for blondes? Lilac. This soft and wearable color has been spotted on both Christina Aguilera and Jenna Elfman recently, and it accented their complexions beautifully.

Aguilera, pictured here a previous event with dark, sexy eye makeup, was recently photographed for the cover of "Marie Claire" sporting the light purple shade. Elfman wore a similar look when she appeared on "The Late Show with David Letterman" earlier this week.

This flirty shade is a lighter alternative to the smoky eye. Just pick the perfect shade for your coloring and you'll be ready to try out this edgy look. If you're especially fair-skinned, opt for pastel colors. Darker-skinned ladies can rock a bold purple or magenta shadow.

Once you've selected a color, use a makeup brush to dust the shadow across your lids and up to the crease. Next, add a little shimmer by dabbing a touch of white or silver iridescent powder to the inner corners of your eyes.

Blend the eyeshadow evenly and then line the rims of your eyes with a black eyeliner pencil. For a more dramatic look, line your bottom lids heavily and smudge the product slightly with your finger.

To make your eyes really pop, sweep a few coats of mascara on your lashes.ADNFCR-2773-ID-19543864-ADNFCR
