Is Gwen Stefani Giving Up Her Trademark Red Lips?

Stefani, pictured here with her trademark red lipstick, recently told In Style magazine that despite her penchant for red, she's found herself in more of a fuchsia mood recently.

When the magazine asked if this meant the end for Stefani's bright pout, the singer laughed it off and explained that she would never give up her trademark. However, she does like to mix different colors to create one bold lip color.

While the No Doubt songstress wouldn't reveal her color-mixing tricks, she did offer the magazine some helpful advice on how to make the color last.

"I start with a matte lipstick that's really dry, then I put a more creamy moist lipstick on top," Stefani told the magazine.

Stefani has previously stated in interviews that she gets her look from inspirations of old Hollywood. She tends to keep her lip color bold to contrast against her light skin and platinum blonde hair.
