Shenae Grimes shows how celebrity makeup can make brown eyes pop

Those with brown eyes may want to take note from 90210 star Shenae Grimes, who accented her chocolate eyes with an emerald liner at a recent Hollywood event.

Glamour.com reported that Grimes' green liner choice knocked it out the park, and really accented her irises. The starlet decided to apply the liner heavier on the bottom, for a more dramatic effect.

This trick may also work for green and blue eyes as well, depending on the tone, but green eye makeup has been known to make dark eyes stand out.

This offers a different look than the standard black eyeliner and adds a bit of a highlight, allowing you to look more fresh-faced. That being said, when it comes to mascara choices, leave the boldness for the liner and opt for black mascara. Too much color has the capacity to give a circus-like effect.

If you want to take it another step forward, sticking to glimmery brown or plum shadows may leave you with the full effect that Grimes had.
