"Botox Bandit": How One Woman's Obsession with Anti-Aging Skin Care Caused Her to Break the Law

Stealing a loaf of bread to feed your hungry family is an understandable crime (one that's at the crux of Victor Hugo's epic "Les Miserables") but, writing $4,000 in bad checks in an attempt to recapture your youthful glow? Not so much.

According to Foxnews.com, one Miami woman has been dubbed the "Botox Bandit" by local police for having running out on $4,000 in cosmetic skin care procedures.

Maria Elizabeth Chrysson, who is only 29 (!) years-old, allegedly wrote checks for the treatments and has been charged with three counts of grand theft and one count of scheming to defraud and, The Miami Herald reports that she is under house arrest and has to wear an ankle monitor until her trial begins.

The kicker? Chrysson, who was "nabbed" by police as she ate lunch in a Miami Beach cafe, was concerned that her mug shot would be ugly because she was "having a bad hair day." She later asked the cops whether she could check her Facebook page to see whether word of her arrest had gotten out.
