"Jersey Shore's" Snooki Bans the Tan and Wises Up About Body Care

If you cringe at the sight of women who slather themselves in tanning oil on the beach and go to tanning salons, you'll be glad to know that at least one of the ladies of "Jersey Shore" is learning proper body care with a self-tanning device.

Anyone who watched the "Jersey Shore" 10-minute season two sneak peek should have noticed that Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi sprayed herself with an at-home tanning device. We were so shocked at the sight of Polizzi getting a HEALTHY tan that we needed to find out more. Turns out that the tanning apparatus is made by Sunlove, and after some online sleuthing, we discovered that Polizzi is also featured on the brand’s website. Polizzi even commented during the preview that she had to stop going to the tanning salon because of the new tax on tanning that was passed a few months back. In case you haven't heard, starting July 1st, the new health care bill will kick off with a 10 percent tax on people who receive indoor tanning services -- a measure that will hopefully deter people from fake baking and help to prevent skin cancer in United States citizens.

In an interview Polizzi did with Allure.com on the same subject, you know it, tanning and beauty. "I just heard about Sunlove not too long ago and then I tried it out. It doesn't leave your face greasy, and there's no bad smell to it like other spray tans," states the MTV reality star. "I never used spray tanners until this one because I usually just went tanning. But you know after the taxing, you don't want to deal with that, and friggin' cancer -- so this is a great product to replace all the bad stuff of tanning." We'll take that answer, Snooki, and we're glad that you're finally wising up.
