Tiffani Thiessen Embraces Her Post-Baby Body
And really, why should our favorite Saved by the Bell teen stress in the slightest? Even as the youthful Kelly Kapowski, Thiessen has always showed off her beautiful cherubic face -- the same sweet face that graced the cover of Pregnancy Magazine in May). The 36-year-old actress, who gained a little under 50 pounds during her pregnancy, lost 30 in the first three months after giving birth in June. But she doesn't bat an eye about not being able to lose those "stubborn" last 20 pounds. It doesnt work that way for me and Im okay with that," she says, nonchalantly. "Id love to be my size again but my body is just not that way."
Not that new mommy Thiessen is spending her time sitting on her lily pad, knitting. She hits the gym three to four times a week, and in between has started a running routinethis in addition being a new mommy, which meaning always functioning on a lack of sleep. "When youre running on four hours of sleep its a little hard to get motivated, but I am definitely trying," she says. "Its about trying to balance and find the time to do it."
And, between the new baby, starting a new season on her USA Network TV series, "White Collar," and running a new business, it seems the star is quickly learning her new balance in life. "She's totally the den mother of the show," says her costar Matt Bomer. "She's so organized, loving and generous that it can only make her an absolutely amazing mom."
Thiessen has even admitted to being able to relate to her character, Elizabeth Burke, "a woman that she strives to be every day." "Back in my late teens, early 20s, I always wanted to be a James Bond girl, that's totally different now," says Thiessen. "My life has changed so much, my priorities have changed. I want to go to work every day where there's a role that I really enjoy and I believe in."
Given her newfound achievements, both professionally and personally, we think Thiessen might just fit her latest role perfectly.
