I use it when my hair needs a break...
My scalp will start to itch whenever I've been using lots of styling products. This product helps soothe my scalp whenever that happens and stops the itch (I also cut the styling products for a few days when I use it to let my hair rest). Knock offs just don't give you the same results

it's good for dry/cold climate

It's Winter - come on you have dandruff!
So, it winter and it's dry and hot inside with the furnace running - this means dry, itchy scalp and dandruff. Head & Shoulders makes an appearance every winter in my house. You don't even need to use it everytime you shampoo (but you could because it smells great and leaves your hair feeling good, too!) for it to work.
