The Holy Grail
I'm happy to try new moisturizers, but I always end up returning to Cetaphil cream. My skin is exceptionally dry, and nothing soothes and protects like this cream. I use it on my face daily and have never had any problems with it aggravating my sometimes oily T-Zone. For the last year or so I've been taking special care to massage it into the skin around my eyes, in an attempt to ward of crows fee...read moret- and I never have irritation. Being clumsy, I've even globed a little IN my eye before, and although it's uncomfortable, it's nowhere near as bad shampoo or some of the other facial lotions I've used- I think this is a testament to the gentleness of the cream. I want to add that it's not just great for your face; I have the kind of dry skin on my legs that gets kind of scaly, and Cetaphil cream is one of very few products that has kept my legs from itching for 24 hours at a time. My mother even uses it for bouts of eczema. A comparative product would be a quality body butter, but I strongly feel that Cetaphil protects my dry skin for longer periods of time. And I can do with the Cetaphil what I would never try with the body butter: put it on my face. Last tip: Don't confuse the cream with the Cetaphil lotion in a pump. The lotion is a decent product, but is no where near as moisturizing as the cream- I also fear that the lotion would cause my face to break out.This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 5 people said helpful
