dark&lovely nightmare
I have used this hair color for many ,many years without any problems. In January of 2016 I used the NEW formula and a BURN/sore covered my scalp. I also have heard of another woman who was sent to the hospital because the color went through her skin . The formula has been changed (I believe to accommodate the WEAVE) and is TOO STRONG for natural hair. There is a small number of AA women who DO NOT wear the WEAVE, WE WANT TO LOOK GOOD TOO. Vibrant Hair Color with Dark and Lovely!
This is my first foray into home haircolor. I went naturally recently and decided that this is as good a time as any to dabble in some color. I am usually an advocate of leaving hair color to the professionals, but with the economy like it is, and my hair as short as it is, I figured why pay someone what I can do myself? It's way to red for my taste (I look like Malcom X), but after looking at the box again, I realize that its definitely the same color on the model, so my dissatisfaction with the color is my own fault, I guess. The gel made it quick and easy to apply. It didn't smell too bad, though it burned like heck while I waited for the color to set. A good moisturizer is definitely needed afterward, because my hair was left dry and hard, and the conditioner that came with it was not cutting it. Homey the Clown color aside, I would use this again in another color.
