Shadow stays put
I chose this over Urban Decay's cult eye shadow primer to avoid its rumored packaging problems. I use Shadow Insurance on days when I'm wearing two distinct colors on my lids or something with sparkle or glitter, to keep it from migrating. In those instances this product delivers on its promise, keeping my shadow in place all day. worth every pretty penny to be insured!
after reading total beauty’s top primers article and the reviews for the products mentioned, i thought it might be worth investing in some eye shadow primer. with my combo skin, sometimes my eyelids are dry and patchy; other times, they are a bit oily (depending on the weather and allergy season!). either way, eye shadow doesn’t always go on smoothly – the colors can appear uneven, and by my...read more mid-morning office bathroom break, my shadow has begun to crease. but not so with two faced’s shadow insurance! this silicone based primer glides on smoothly, creating a perfect canvas for highlighting and contouring. no more creasing, no more fading, even in hot humid weather. i can go straight from the office to dinner out with the girls without needing to touch-up! if anything, your eyes will now pop with shadows that appear brighter and more vibrantly hued. even the cheaper drugstore brands that you considered tossing! i balked at the price at first but the $18 investment is worth it, as it makes every other eye makeup product that much more effective and a little goes a long way. i only need a pin drop amount to gently dab over each eyelid. this tiny tube will last a long time!This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 7 of 7 people said helpful

FABULOUS!
when i heard about eye shadow primers i did lots of online research before purchasing one. I found somewhat of a tie between this and urban decay's primer potion. in the end i chose shadow insurance because it's easier to get all the product out of the tube and you can keep air out of the tube, and as we all know air is our makeups greatest enemy (oxidation people, oxidation). In love with too faced!

Shadow lasts
This does make my eyeshadow last longer than without, but it tends to make my lids look aged when they in face are not. I liked it ok until i tried Tarte's lifted eye primer which is amazing. Best primer I have ever used!
I have oily eyelids and before finding this product my eyeliner would migrate to the creases of my eyelids and look so gross and messy. I hated it and even skipped eyeliner some days to avoid the problem. After reading about and trying another popular primer (I was not all that impressed with the other) I decided to give this one a go. I was blown away by how well it worked! My eyeliner (gel, ...read moreliquid, pencil, powder, etc.) stayed put all day with no creasing or smudging. I even went to bed with my eye makeup on one night just to see and, other than the mascara mess, my eyeshadow looked pretty darn good for having been slept in. I wouldn't recommend doing that of course but I just had to see how well it would hold up! I use this primer every day and when there was a special sale at a local cosmetics store I purchased all the tubes they had left. If I had to pick a favorite...
hands down my favorite shadow primer thus far. Absorbs quickly, doesn't affect my applied color- other than making it absolutely 100% true to it's color in the pan, that is- gets me through a 10 hour work day without a crease, and seemingly one tiny tube will last for about 45 freakin' years! This stuff is the bomb. It holds eyeshadow on forever! And the tube holds a lot of product so it will last you a long time.
