It does make my hands soft
I consider this an effective hand cream. It does a good job at keeping my hands feeling moist. I'm in my late fifties, and am starting to have dry skin problems, so I am always looking for the nongreasy cream that works. This one is quickly absorbed and keeps the skin around my nails soft.
