I have tried at least 50 brands of foundations from high end to low end cosmetic lines, and the Merle Norman foundation is by far the absolute best make-up that really does last all day/evening! beats Mary Kay hands down
I used MN years ago in my 20s ...then changed to many brands. Mary Kay was so expensive for a small container that lasted less that a month and the makeup faded in the first 3 hrs after applying it...my skin absorbed it so quick...so today I went back MN 20 some years later and the luxiva aqua balance makeup was amazing!...30 dollars for one ounce is high...the coverage is amazing....its been 8 ho...read moreurs and stilll looks great!! so I did the math...one time coverage not 2X a day compared to MK and I will save at least 20 dollars or more...but the bottom line...I look great all day...no fade yetThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 13 of 13 people said helpful

Found what I was looking for
I've always had a problem with combination skin. In trying to keep my nose and chin area dried out, I'd "dry out" the rest of my face. As I got older, it seemed to get worse, and NOW I'm fighting those fine lines and wrinkles. Finding a foundation that didn't leave me feeling like an oil slick by noon had become impossible. I tried the mineral powder stuff, and it seemed OK for awhil...read moree but then it'd settle in lines and grease up around my nose. I had a coupon for a free "week's worth" of foundation from Merle Norman, so I went in and told the lady my dilemma and she recommended the Lasting Foundation and found an almost PERFECT match in color (ANOTHER problem I'd always had). The sample lasted almost 3 weeks and I loved it after a few days. After I ran out, I bought a full tube. You can use it sparingly, it feels like silk, blends well and stays put. It's a little pricey compared to drugstore brands, but it lasts a long time. I would recommend anyone having problems finding the perfect foundation to go in to a MN and give this a try. Having the ability to "try" the different shades and formulas is awesome. This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 13 of 14 people said helpful
