Do not use
I tried this and I also feel that it is not what the advertisement expressed. Did not do what it stated, and didn't stay on very long. I found myself reapplying it after just a few hours of wear.This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Great mascara!
This is one of the few drugstore mascaras that I like. It separated my lashes without clumping and lasted all day. I don't understand what the complaints are about. I have never used any mascara that smelled...why do you need to smell your mascara anyways...it goes on your eyes, not in or around your nose!!! One of the only mascaras that actually WORKS
I love this mascara, it is one of the only ones that works for me. I have a terrible time finding a mascara I like- I previously used Max Factor, but when they discontinued their line except in Europe, I panicked. My lashes are the same as my hair- a combination of straight & wavy, fine, unruly, & thin. I can get them placed the way I want them PRE-mascara but then, when I put mascara on, ...read morethey just fall to where they were before & end up appearing clumpy, messy, & uneven. This mascara is the only one that actually keeps them where I want them, truly makes them appear thicker without clumping, longer, separated, & fanned out just the way they should be. Great Product
I am also a mascara junkie because I have very SHORT , curly lashes. With 2 coats this mascara made my lashes look much longer, almost like lash extensions.. The mascara did not smudge and I even wore it while swimming and no running in my eyes. I love this mascara and also the Lash Stiletto Voluptuous. I absolutely LOVE this mascara.
I have very short, light brown lashes and I have tried too many mascaras to even count. This Stiletto makes my lashes visible! They look longer and darker which is something I have always wanted! I mean, you can actually see them! I wouldn't trade it for anything! I forgot to mention that I didn't like it the first couple of times I tried it. It didn't seem to do anything! Love It!!!
I'm sorry but I disagree with what some of the other people are saying. I have tried many mascara's, and right now this is my favorite. I have had none of the other problems others have been saying. It lengthen's and goes on perfect. You do need to read the instructions carefully though. Once you have put the mascara on, and it has dried, you "cannot" put more on later. You have to...read more get the length you want the first go around. You can put a little more on the bottom lashes if need be, but if you put it on as instructed, you shouldn't have any issues. Sorry , but I have and will continue to keep recommending this mascara to my friends & family. Note: I don't use the waterproof mascara, so there might be problems with that perticular kind. I use the Lash Stiletto Black Patton. I do prefer the Ultimate Length over the Voluptuous. I'd say give it a try, and if you really really don't like it, call Maybelline, and they will refund your money, or send you a coupon for a different brand of their mascara's. lash stiletto a nice mascara
lengthens well and keeps lashes soft ( so many mascaras harden lashes), i like the packaging and tube and the brush is small enough to get all the lashes . it doesn't clump or flake. i will buy this mascara again. i usually go for a volumizing formula but all in all a great mascaraThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

It's ok
I do like this mascara. It's my go to. Now it doesn't do what the commercial claims. But it does give my eyelashes a boost. It doesn't seem to lengthen like it says it should. Nothing like the women on the commercial however I think you must have faux lashes on for it to do that. The cost is COMPLETELY RiDICULOUS! Not for what the product does. I prefer AVON mascara. Worked well for me!
I love this mascara. Perhaps the others used too much of it at one time. A thin coat, let dry, and use the Performance Plus mascara by Maybelline - both are waterproof and work very well together - even with swimming.This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

I'm hooked!
Granted, I do think the smell is a little funky, but I tend to think that about most mascaras, so I wasn't shocked there. Despite the smell, I love this stuff. It made my lashes long and silky, adding very noticable length (my boyfriend noticed the difference and complemented me on it, that's how big the difference is). It goes on easily in just a few coats, but will get clumpy if you let the firs...read moret coat fully dry. I did that while attending to something else between coats and came back to find the stuff just didn't work the same if you let it dry in between. I love the old school movie star look I get from this stuff! Wide eyed and long lashed! If you are looking for a volumizing mascara though, this is not it.
