too much work
I didn't smell anything like the other reviewers--it took too long to apply--you have to keep applying coat after coat before it dries and your lashes do get longer but not thicker like it claims so it gives you a natural long lash look --you can get this same affect with other mascaras and honestly all length and no volume doesn't look that great--this is good if you're in high school or really want to make like you don't wear makeup--other than that I'd give it a passThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Great mascara for those not looking for MIRACLES!
I have to say, after reading so many bad reviews on this product, I was VERY skeptical. Luckily, I never follow trends & decided to try it for myself. This is NOT a mascara that advertises volume or curling, just long defined lashes and thats EXACTLY what I got! I don't have any clumps or smudges because I don't pack it on like Tammy Faye. This mascara is over-rated! I found it not really to do anything and be kind of thin and/or watery. I like some kick to my mascara and this didn't provide what I was expecting. Ultimate Length-yes!
I really really really love this mascara! It makes my lashes very long and the wear is awesome. Removal is very easy too. Love It!!!!
For Eakwave1s info ALL make-up smells! Even if it says fragrance-free. This mascara works well. I have been using it everyday since I got it (about 2 weeks) and I have had NO problems. Plus I wear contacts and I have had no interferance, if you wear them you know what I am talking about. I have worn it for as long as 12 hours and no raccoon eyes or flaking. Half the time I don't even curl my lashe...read mores and they look great and no I have not been blessed with naturally dark, long, curled lashes. My brother got those. Guys seem to get the best features! Though, I have to say I wish it gave me more volume but Iknow how to solve that. Amazing Mascara
I love this mascara. I have naturally long eyelashes so I am always looking for a mascara that is dark but doesn't make my natural lashes look like bad fake eyelashes. It goes on super dark, and without clumping. I like that it doesn't go overboard trying to make your lashes thick and long but just enhances them. Kinda Bland
I honestly think that this mascara was bad. It didnt do much for my lashes. It smelled really weird and I am very sensitive to the nose. A decent Maybelline Mascara
Honestly, I've never been a huge fan of Maybelline mascaras. Frankly, Great Lash is one Great Disappointment for me. Sure, I love the pink and green packaging but the formula smears, runs and does all the bad things a mascara shouldn't. Maybelline must have heard the numerous cries for an improvement. The brush is also really great at coating and separating lashes to elongate them during application. To me, it seems that Lash Stiletto is the budget version of Giorgio Armani's Maestro Mascara - in formula anyway. The two downsides to Lash Stiletto though are the scent - not a fan of scented mascara 'cept for Diorshow and the fact it doesn't really build volume. I did not like this at first, but now I love it.
I tried this product a few times, and got clumpy Tammy Faye looking lashes the first few times. I almost gave up. I just could not throw out a nearly brand new mascara. I tried it a few more times, and discovered that you really need to make sure you swipe the brush real well on lip to lessen the product load on the brush. I'll do 2 maybe 3 thin coats, and I swear people ask if I'm wearing fal...read morese eyelashes. The smell dissipates once the product is dry. I have found it to occasionally flake if you accidentally rub your eyes during the day. Awesome
I have nothing but praise for this product. It really lengthened and separated my lashes. It's not as good as Lash Blast, but it is a solid product. My one drawback is that it does not come in a waterproof formula.
